When it comes to writing, Matt finds wisdom in a theory—actually about acting—first articulated in a Monty Python sketch:
The words “are all there already. Now we’ve got to get them in the right order.”
Deceptively simple isn’t it, even while hinting at the mystical notion that the writer is tapping into a vast galaxy of words just waiting to be assembled and assigned their proper place.
Journalism is changing and Matt has changed right along with it. But it’s still the words that count. Getting them in the right order has never been more essential than it is right now.
